Encouraging the Heart Debt Retirement Campaign Two things to be looking for in the upcoming weeks: · Every MGBC family will receive a telephone call from a member of the Campaign Prayer Calling Committee during the period of August 19 through September 6. These calls are to encourage our members and to ask for your personal prayer requests. · Each family will receive information in the mail during the first week of September with detailed information concerning the Encouraging the Heart Debt Retirement Campaign. If you have a LOVE of CHILDREN & a desire to see the children's department GROW, then the Children's Sunday School department is in need of approximately 10 volunteers to perform the following duties: meet & greet the children in their respective classrooms from 9am to 9:15am each Sunday, send Happy Birthday cards and We Missed You cards to the children, make phone calls to the children and parents. Please contact the Children's Sunday School Director, Jane Bonelli or Shannon Perry if you are interested in learning more about this rewarding ministry.

FAITH Evangelism - 20th Semester begins Tuesday, September 16The 20th Semester of FAITH begins Tuesday, September 16, with a kick-off banquet at 5:30 pm in Family Life Center. The semester has been shortened and will run for only 12 weeks. Supper is served at 5:30 pm each Tuesday. Training time begins at 6 pm. Child care is available. Come be a part of this soul-winning evangelism effort at MGBC. Sign up on the form below and drop it in the offering plate. You may also enroll by calling the church office or go to the MGBC website, www.myrtlegrovebaptist.org. There is no charge to participants for supper or child care.

MGBC Ladies Retreat at Camp Baldwin: There will be an MGBC ladies retreat at Camp Baldwin in Elberta, Alabama on October 10 - 11, 2008. The retreat will begin Friday evening, October 10, 2008, at approximately 6:00 p.m. and continue overnight through Saturday afternoon, October 11, 2008. The cost is $37.50 per person including three meals. If you are unable to stay overnight, please feel free to join us Friday evening and/or Saturday, as your schedule permits, in which case the cost would be $3.00 per person plus $6.00 per meal. Come join us for some great fun and fellowship, and feel free to invite your lady friends from outside MGBC. Please see Sherry Ware with any questions or for registration. If the cost is the only thing prohibiting you from attending, please see Sherry Ware or Paula Craig.
